INDRA, the leading player in auto recycling in France processes nearly 600,000 vehicles 2019 in its network (38.2% of the market).
This success is due to the convergence of four complementary fields of expertise (sourcing, networking, engineering, dismantling) and a sharing philosophy.
This expertise enables new development paths for the end-of-life vehicle sector to be explored.
LE SOURCING
In order to supply its network INDRA concludes framework contracts with the main manufacturers and insurers, and also develops partnerships with government services, authorities and automobile traders.
38.2%
INDRA represents 38.2% of the recycling market in France.
NETWORK MANAGEMENT
Every day a team of network consultants visits the End-of-Life Vehicle (ELV) centres to provide advice, training and services and enable the members of its network to develop.
95%
OBJECTIVE : 95%
of the mass of
ELVs is recovered
INDRA AUTOMOBILE RECYCLING manages its network in accordance with European directives (achievement of 95% recycling of the vehicle mass) and the development of profitability for ELV centres confronting rapidly changing challenges.
ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT
INDRA has an Engineering Department which is responsible for many projects such as:
the study and development of waste recovery businesses for materials from the recycling of ELVs
the ergonomics and safety study of workstations (tool patents and equipment efficiency)
ecodesign with a view to final product recycling (with producers and automotive parts manufacturers).
It is an authorised training centre for professionals in the ELV recycling sector with a catalogue of more than 70 training modules.
With CIDER (Centre d’Ingénierie de la Déconstruction Equipements Roulants - Engineering Centre for On-Road Equipment Deconstruction), of which it is one of the founding fathers, Re-source Engineering Solutions is also responsible for research into the dismantling of civil engineering and agricultural machines, military vehicles, heavy goods vehicles, buses, etc..
Whilst the new French Energy Transition Law directs that automobile repairers offer their customer parts from the circular economy (January 2017), INDRA AUTOMOBILE RECYCLING is committed to the circular economy and in 2013 started the “PRECIS” platform.
An on-line service for pooling stocks of re-usable spare parts, enabling them to be marketed and made available to repair professionals.
“PRECIS” incorporates demanding specifications including 3 ranges of second-hand parts of different qualities (Premium, Medium and Eco).
1 YEAR
Parts sold through PRECIS are guaranteed for one year
in the Premium and
Medium ranges.
6 months for the ECO range.
The repairer is able to see the available stock in real time, reserve and order on-line. Secure payment by direct debit helps facilitate transactions between professionals throughout France.
